The Chinese Zodiac is a scheme that relates each year to an animal and its attributes. There are 12 signs in the Chinese zodiac, which means the cycle changes every 12 years. The cycle begins with the Rat and then goes on to: Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Sheep, Monkey, Rooster, Dog and Pig. The year animals represent how you present yourself (or how others perceive you)... Little known fact about the Chinese Zodiac is that there are also animal signs assigned to months (inner animal), days (true animals) and even hours (secret animals).
On January 23rd we will enter the year of the Dragon - which is MCM's sign (the brand was created in 1976) - so let's have a closer look at what that means...
Before I share our special celebrations with you, let me tell you a little more about the Dragon's personality: Magnanimous, stately, vigorous, strong, self-assured, proud, noble, direct, dignified, eccentric, intellectual, fiery, passionate, decisive, pioneering, artistic, generous, loyal. Can you match a different MCM bag to each of these characteristics? I bet I can!
To celebrate this very special year for us, we launched a limited edition Flying Dragon collection (read this post for more info)
Wishing you happiness, love & prosperity for this New Year
