Special days need special events and that's why MCM collaborated with Munich-based concept store "POOL" and created a limited-edition charity shirt to help the munich AIDS Foundation in occasion of the World AIDS Day, observed December 1st every year. It's about giving something back to the society, to accept responsibility for others, to inform people and to be dedicated to raising awareness of the AIDS pandemic. MCM and POOL want to set an example and celebrated a little christmas event on december 1st at the well known concept store at Maximilianstraße in Munich.
Lots of nice people and MCM family members celebrated the launch event "East meets West", ate delicious fingerfood which united korean and typical bavarian cuisine and listened to a DJ Set of Michael Michalsky, our favourite Designer and MCM Advisory Creative Director who switched for once his creativity in clothes and luxury goods for turntables supported by Felix Wenzel. Another special act, singer Ma’Deeva, was another highlight of the launch party.
Special guest of the evening: The charity shirt which comes in an unisex design and was created to do something good for our society: the whole benefit will go the the organization "Munchener AIDS -Hilfe" to start awareness campaigns in the future.
What I love the most about the limited-editon basketball shirt? It's for men and women and you can wear it inside-out! It is a combination of MCM's typical cognac visetos print and shows the well known mascot of POOL. If you want to grab one you have to travel to munich: only the concept store offers the special charity shirts.
With lots of love, Nike and Sarah-Jane
