Lookbook: Singapore Men's Fashion Week

After a successful debut in South East Asia celebrated by none other than a bevy well-to-do international A-listers, fashionistas & the notorious glitterati, MCM strutted its highly-anticipated Autumn-Winter 2012 collection as well as its distinguished and eclectic Men’s Generation collection down the runways for the first time during Singapore Men’s Fashion Week.

Themed “Munich Wildlife”, MCM’s AW12 collection adds a wild touch to its heritage featuring a tongue-in-cheek play on the spirit of the Bavarian capital’s vibrant nightlife.  Unveiling rich new shapes, dramatic colours, animal prints & studded leathers, this illustrious collection serves as a nod in commemorating decades of nonconformity and cultural diversity in Munich, establishing the exotic yet rustic visual identity for the upcoming season.  AW12’s Munich Wildlife collection boasts a baroque glamour featuring understated tones and overstated patterns that are confident, vivid and elaborate.  The upcoming season presents a versatility in looks befitting any style ranging from the darkly romantic to the retro inspired.

The modishly distinguished, never-before-seen men’s lifestyle collection entitled the “MCM Men’s Generation” features characteristic tough-lux patterns, boldly rock-chic designs which likewise incorporate a quirky-cool inimitable style.  The men’s lifestyle collection flaunts maximalist designs and audacious patterns that range from the satirically retro-chic, to funky future-glam aesthetics.    The bold & brassy custom-made standout pieces are generously adorned with patterns and stalagmite-esque studs atop shimmering black leathers, embellished with muted hardwares.  The collection also introduces angular designs, many of which are architecturally geometric, exhibiting dark tones mixed with acidic hues which add a touch of colour to dull shades.  This collection adds a boost of glam to any outfit, rocking any style arrangement.
