Singapore Men’s Fashion Week 2012 was an event that couldn't end more high-flying: MCM successfully debuted in South East Asia and ended the event with a spectacular performance through the closing finale. Eventually we celebrated a little MCM's Gala Dinner, a little party after the the closing of Singapore Men’s Fashion Week, where MCM auctioned three custom-made one-of-a-kind backpacks that sold for a total of USD $80k.
The lucky news: The full proceeds were donated to the National Cancer Research Fund and can now support the work to fight against cancer.
These one-of-a kind products were handmade by a number of craftsman using real python leather in three colours: pink, yellow and brownish grey/blue. The backpacks are adorned with features such as Swarovski crystals as well as durable metal hardwares and reflect the high quality of our luxury label, the tradition and the beloved details MCM loves to work with.
This was the perfect finish for MCM, its way to celebrate the successful debut at Singapore Fashion with lots of friends, celebrities and people from the fashion business. It's our way to say thank you and give something back to people who need our help - it's our responsibility!
The National Cancer Centre Singapore is one of the most important institutions not only for the treatment of cancer but also for research and post-graduate education in this important medical discipline. It is a great honour for MCM to support Southeast Asia’s only sub-specialist centre for cancer, which was established in 1999.
Hope you enjoyed our auction gala! Have a wonderful day!
xx Sarah Jane
