Leo Collection Style Diaries: Art

Hi Everybody!

We at MCM find inspiration everywhere: walking through the street and nature with our eyes wide open can be incredibly amazing, and brings so many new things to you.  When working in fashion, whether it is a designer or a writer like me, you learn to find inspiration absolutely everywhere!

Whether it's architecture, nature itself, animals or the guy on the street painting something beautifully with passion and talent,  we try to soak up everything that is inspiring for our MCM collection!   It's our aim to look at our brand spirit and to showcase how it translates to the many  inspirations behind our fabulous Leo Collection: Tech, Travel, Music, Craftsmanship, Glamour, Global Lifestyles and Art!

Looking at  nature inspires most, but it's also the way art, paintings and installations are combined with fashion items.  whether it's a print like in the Leo collection, a collaboration with an artist or our flagship store in Hong Kong for example, - Art is super important for us to get inspiring input and to create new, exciting collections!  It's the femininity, the outstanding pattern and the clean but soft shapes that make our Leo Collection so special - art in so many different ways!

Even if we look at some nail art or some make-up art, if we take a closer look at the beautiful nature, movements and animals or focus on artworks that were inspired by Leopards - we are truly in love!   A great painting can entail power, harmony, desires and strong power like this Charles Edward Perugini work.  The modern interpretation can also be found directly on the street- like this street art work by Alice PasquiniI, for example, combines multiculturalism, diversity, childhood and strong memories. Another work by an unknown artist reflects culture, cohabitation and the strong power of women.  Which Leo-inspired artwork is your favourite?
