We are so proud of our new SS13 campaign, "Very MCM in Monaco" (read about it here), starring supermodels Hana Jirickova and Robertas Aukstuolis that we wanted to share with you a few snippets of what happens behind the scenes during our campaign shoot. So I snuck around like a mouse and had little chats with various members of our elite team of fashion experts (see this post for my interview with Del Fin, the manicurist)
Today, you get to meet our make-up artist, the very talented Inge Grognard. Inge has been working as a MUA since the 80s, where she collaborated with her husband, photographer Robert Stoops on multiple fashion shoots and artistic pursuits. Her work has often been exhibited in museums and galleries. As you can understand, from the moment we met Inge, we knew she was perfect for the job. For the campaign images, Inge "wanted to focus on a nice, beautiful skin, that looks really healthy, so I only added a small accent on the eyes and a tiny bit of colour to the lips to emphasize Hana's natural beauty". She went on to explain that "The make-up look is like the bags, elegant, high class and sophisticated"
I am a firm believer in natural make-up as I think it is important to use it as a way to enhance natural features rather than try to hide or change the way we look. I guess it is quite a Parisian take on make-up! It works extremely well in the campaign as Hana's beauty if naturally fresh and elegant... Like our bags, to quote Inge...
