Mid-Autumn Festival celebrations in Beijing
Today marks the first day of Golden Week (also known as the Mooncake Festival or Mid-Autumn Festival). It is a national holiday in China and Vietnam to celebrate the new moon and harvest season. There are many traditions associated to this festival, the most delicious of them is to eat mooncakes, delicious red bean pastries. This year I think I may try to make my own mooncakes, following this recipe.
Traditional mooncakes
Last week in our London flagship store we were offering traditional mooncakes to our lovely customers, so they could enjoy their shopping experience while partaking in the harvest celebrations.

Meanwhile, if you shop in Harrods, to celebrate the Year of The Dragon, from September 30th till October 7th, we are offering you the chance to receive a handcrafted leather item from our "Flying Dragon" collection (as seen below). These are both worth £200 and are available for all purchases over £500. You could for example purchase our Flying Dragon shopper and you would get a matching bag charm or purse as a gift.
