Tokyo is located on the Eastern side of Honshu, Japan and is the Japanese capital. It is also one of the most important megalopolis in the world. It is a transport hub to get to the whole of Japan and the public transports inside the city, especially the trains are super efficient.
Our Tokyo store is located in United Arrows in the trendy Harajuku area. The area is known all over the world for its most incredible street fashion. There are a few street fashion publications based solely on Harajuku style, one of them being the famous "Fruits". The fashion in Harajuku has often inspired designers the world over.
Depending on where you are staying, there are various options to get to our store, but today we will just be looking at taxis. The first rule in Tokyo when you want to take a taxi is to have the address you want to go to written in Japanese, unless you are going to a well-known hotel. Tokyo is a real maze, even taxi drivers don't always know their way around, simply because they couldn't memorize all the streets!
If you need to flag a taxi, make sure you check the light in the window: if it is red, then you can hail it, if it is yellow, it means it is busy. Once you've found your taxi, do NOT try to open the door. They are automated and you will just end up with a door in your face if you bend down to grab the handle!
Remember that taxis aren't the cheapest option in Tokyo. It will cost you ¥710 until you reach 2km and then, for every 274m traveled, add on another ¥80.
