The M Magazine - the one-stop media locale for all the latest in the illustrious world of musical theatre. Home to Broadway mavens, production enthusiasts and drama aficionados alike, the M Magazine is a new, fresh publication that aims to bring musical theatre into the 21st century and beyond

The self-appointed (and fan approved!) VOGUE of Musical Theatre, the publication boasts high-fashion, glamour, gossip and sprinklings of edge with a dash of humour on the side. On Sunday 8 July, the magazine maestro teamed with MCM in a first-time exclusive photo shoot with two of today’s musical theatre’s leading ladies: the enchanting Kerry Ellis and the unforgettable Katherine Kingsley

Parked in front of London’s Royal Opera House, the shoot took place on-board and outside our brilliant Brand Experience route master. So who are these dazzling virtuosos? If you don’t follow theatre don’t worry- we’ve got the inside scoop on these starlets right here:

Kerry Ellis:
Recognised as the First Lady of West End musicals, Kerry built a name for herself starting from her starring roles in London and on Broadway, and has achieved chart-topping success as a recording artist signed to Universal Decca with her debut album Anthems.

She was the first British Elphaba in the West End smash, Wicked, for which she won the 2008 Whatsonstage.com Award for Best Takeover in a Role. She then immediately transferred to Broadway and played Elphaba at the Gershwin Theater for six months, where she won the Broadway.com Audience Award for Favourite Female Breakthrough Performance, before returning to London for six months in 2009. Her many leading role credits include Nancy in Oliver! at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane, Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady, Ellen in Miss Saigon and Fantine in Les Miserables

Katherine Kingsley:
Born and raised in Cambridge, Katherine Kingsley studied acting at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School and at English National Opera's The Knack.
As well as her film, TV and voiceover work, she has worked extensively in theatre at venues such as the Donmar, the Chocolate Menier Factory and numerous West End Theatres.
