Valentine’s Day - Style Guide

Valentine's Day is almost here which is quite exciting, but also pretty stressful. Whether your Little Red Book is filled up with cards from your many admirers or you've been happily married for years, if you are going on a special date this Thursday, you may be wondering what on Earth to wear... The good news is you get to wear MCM as our brand new Spring Summer collection has just landed in store! A Few Cocktails At A Cute Tapas Bar (with the Armour Collection)

Cocktails and tapas are pretty much a winning combination for a Valentine Date... You get to share your life stories while eating delicious food and you can do so late into the night. Sharing food is such a romantic thing and tapas will give you plenty to chat about, should the conversation die down a little at some point. Style wise, you want to stay natural, like you haven't tried too hard. An all white outfit announces a lovely Summer together and brightens up a dreary February! Let your bag bring some colour to your outfit.

Movie Date (with Veronika)

Sometimes in a relationship you have to make space for a third... But only if said third is called Veronika and is a beautiful redhead. Of course I am talking about the lovely Veronika bag! Another favourite Valentine destination is the cinema. I know you can't really talk so it won't be that kind of date, but there is something really lovely and old fashioned about holding hands in the dark while watching an old Hollywood film. Our sailor jumpsuit paired with the Veronika in red is the perfect cute attire for a movie date.

Picnic On The Beach (with Mina)

If you are lucky enough to live in a city by the ocean, your location of choice for Valentine's dates has to be the beach. Imagine a lovely night picnic with candles, a comfortable blanket, some champagne and the sea as a soundtrack. Of course if you are going to sit on the beach for any length of time, you absolutely need a practical outfit, so shorts it is! Add to it a cute nautical top and a bright red blazer in case the wind gets chilly and you have a lovely thing going on. Only bring your Mina wallet, you won't need a large bag on the beach. 

Late Night At The Museum (with Veronika Isis)

Love AND art? This is almost too good to be true! Check out your local listings and see if any museums or galleries offer late night visits on Valentine's Day. Gaze at art and gaze at each other, there will be plenty of things to talk about and it will be an experience to remember and cherish. Of course you can always grab dinner and a few drinks afterwards. A smart, graphic monochrome outfit is a pre-requisite, but make sure you carry a playful bag, like the Veronika Isis.
