I travel for work. I travel a lot. In the past year I've spent approximately 5 whole months out of the country and far from my London home. That's a lot, what did I tell you? Of course I go on holidays with my family as well, and these are carefully planned so I don't worry too much about packing as I generally have more time. But when I am invited on press trips, I often am given very short notice, so it is important for me to know exactly what I need to be comfortable on my travels. I love discovering new places, and in that sense I most definitely am a global nomad, but I am not an adventurer. I like travelling in luxury.
The arrival of the Leo Drawstring Tote in my home has caused quite a revolution: here is a bag that is almost as roomy as a small suitcase (the cabin type) yet offers the style points of a luxe handbag. How could I say no? I am off to Los Angeles at the end of the week and so it was the perfect timing for a little Leo show and tell "what's in my bag" type post.
Here are a few tips for long haul flights:
Plan your entertainment, and plan it light. Store magazines, tv shows, films and music on your tablet. I like to bring my own headphones as they have a better sound quality and I can use them as ear defenders when I sleep. I also keep my travel documents on my mobile phone so I am sure not to lose them.
Make sure you are always on time.
Bring a few miniatures of your favourite beauty products to keep moisturised during the flight... and a bright cheery lipstick to look fresh upon arrival.
