Your last chance: There's something special for you in the box... 18-12-2011: Oh my god we are so exited to celebrate christmas this year - it's different than the years before: we moved to another city, quite far away from home and miss our families so much. So it's obvious, coming home to our lovelies is a very special event for us. We love to take our time with our family and friends, eat all day long and take some time to relaxe and break out of our busy life here in Berlin. Don't get me wrong, we love our life as much as we can but holiday is a quiet time and hell yeah, it's about giving something back to our beloved ones - and of course, to get the one or the other present back!

Yes, we really love christmas time and that's why we thought about doing something special for you - to say thank you for all your support, for all your love and inspiration - thanks to all of you: our lovely MCM lovers and MCM blog readers all over the world! I first encountered MCM summer of 2010 in Korea. It was my first time visiting the motherland in nearly 17 years. Summer 2010 was undoubtedly one of the most memorable summers of my life. It left me with fond and sweet recollections of family and friends, with whom I scoured the streets absorbing the little things - $2 ddukbokee runs at night, patbingsoo missions, families gathered around the t.v. roaring with laughter as they watch running man, camaraderie across the city and throughout the country as Korean citizens and non-citizens alike cheered for Koreas victory in the World Cup.

Summer 2010 was also a time of reflection. Korea has come a long way from its complicated an painful past; it has experienced economic and social growth at a speed admirable to the international community simultaneously boasting a rich past, empowering and encouraging its citizens. However, during my time in Korea, I was reminded every day that we still have ways to go: from the grandmothers selling their goods on the market floors in 12-hr shifts to the favela like home structures in certain areas in stark contrast to the soaring office buildings of downtown Seoul and newly constructed top of the line apartment buildings that claim Kangnam. Socioeconomic inequality is a reality and an issue that plagues many parts of the world. This is not an excuse for complacence.

MCM is a young, but immensely successful company. It is one which faced many obstacles, but whose leaders through hard work, dedication, faith, and honest practices made it what it is today. Most importantly, despite its success, MCM has not forgotten its community, donating 10% of its corporate profits to charities and NGOs.

To me, MCM not only reminds me of a beautiful summer full of exciting memories and thoughtful reflection, it also represents Koreas success - but a right kind of success, which prioritizes giving back to an imperfect society, to those in need.

Bonbonica says : 18.12.2011: MCM has a beautiful store inside the Plaza hotel in NYC!!! Love, love, love!!! I was so excited when I found out that they had Started promoting the MCM brand as a luxury competitor. I think the designs are more beautiful today than they were in the past.

Denise says : 23.12.2011: I first discovered MCM at Bloomingdales, and then saw their small boutique at the Plaza Hotel. The simplicity and authenticity of their designs resonates with me, and Im anxiously waiting for one of their goodies to be placed under my Christmas tree. Every time I walk by the Plaza Hotel, I think of MCM and the beautiful products on display.

My special memories that reminds me of the MCM brand happened last summer!!
During my travel, my Stark backpack has always been there with me and every time I look at it,
it just reminds me of all the wonderful things that had happened to me over the summer break!
Over the summer, I traveled with my family back to China, a lovely place that I havent been visited for 7 years!
It was so nice to travel with my family again and see my cousins and family on the other side of the world!
So heartwarming to find that nothing had changed with my family and realized that nothing ever will!
