Pierre Herme and his business partner Charles Znaty created Pierre Herme Paris in 1996, after Herme left Fauchon. The first boutique opened in Tokyo two years later promptly followed by a Salon de The. In 2001, Herme inaugurated the first French store at 72 rue Bonaparte in Paris. The company now counts 9 stores in Japan, 10 in France and 2 in London.
The London store is conveniently located minutes from our Sloane Street Flagship - at 13 Lowndes Street. Next time you come and visit us, perhaps to have a look at the Autumn-Winter collection, make sure you also pop in to Pierre Herme's boutique.
Don't be afraid of experimenting with macarons flavours, unusual tastes are Herme's forte. My personal favourites are: Green Asparagus and Hazelnut Oil - a nutty, extremely fresh taste; Olive Oil and Vanilla - there are three different types of Vanilla in this macaron, creating a rich, delicious taste. The store also sells chocolates, wrapped up in traditional boxes tied with leather ribbons... and if you can't decide between macarons and chocolates, you can always opt for the chocolate macarons... or go for something completely different! The jams are divine and come in a lot of classic Herme flavours such as Ispahan (raspberry, rose and lychee).
