What does it take to make a Fashion Show? The MCM Team knows exactly how to sprinkle the lights-fashion-action and we're here to give you an an exclusive "Behind-the-Scenes" inside look. Follow us to discover the "before" and "after" and see how they prepared for a sensational Spring / Summer '14 Fashion Show!
You may remember when we presented our brand new SS14 collection in Singapore, during FIDEFW? Entitled "Flower Boys In Paradise", the kaleidoscopic line finds its inspiration in Arcadian utopias ruled by the androgynous and techno-futuristic.
For the first time, we designed an "epicene" collection, reflecting on gender-normative tensions in design and style. Last week, we hosted an event in Seoul to celebrate the Flower Boys in Paradise collection and show it to our celebrity friends and press here in South Korea.
As you know, there is no MCM event is the same without a great VIP list, and our little bash in Seoul was no exception. The capital's most stylish set graced the stage, ready to celebrate our Flower Boys in Paradise with us in style. To top-off the celebration, MCM rolled out the red carpet & organised a huge photo wall for each celebrity to strike their fashion-friendly poses:
The latest fashion show premiere was celebrated by trend-setter Seoullites and media celebrities alike. In case you missed our show, our UK Blogger Ambassador Mademoiselle Robot shared the latest images from the collection with you.
The kaleidoscopic collection was articulated through an array of models styled in MCM’s signature flower print designs expressing a confident, gender-blind collection, presenting polarity-fusing facades which embroider a novel paradise for the SS14 season.
The show was an instant hit - critics, fashion experts, journalists & style connoisseurs alike lauded MCM’s novel Gender-blind designs as a superior collection to the brand’s previous seasons
Ready for the next collection to hit the stores next season? Stay tuned!
