Firenze4ever ON STAGE feat. the MCM Limited Edition Stark Line
This years's LUISAVIAROMA Firenze4ever edition was all about musical genres of the past influencing stylistas today. It is music that defined an attitude, the very attitude that continues to inspire fashion. The raw aesthetics of the early punk movement, its rebellion and anti-conformism changed the vision of a whole generation. No wonder the 7th edition of world's most famous blogger Style lab was named ON STAGE.
Rock, punk and grunge are the three protagonists of this Fall's trend parade - mix them up with contemporary designs and you get "chaos meets couture"!
We can't wait to get our hands on the upcoming Fall 13/14 styles and so we tried to make our dreams become reality... The result: "La vie en Punk"!
As you may already know, MCM is as crazy about music as the team behind LUISAVIAROMA - that's why we teamed up for the 7th edition of Firenze4ever. No Style Lab would be complete without our Limited Edition Stark Backpack Collection and brand new Tantris Line!
Here's some inspiration for you - so make sure you try this at home. Let the power of music turn your outfit into a fashion statement!
Grunge(sometimes referred to as theSeattle sound) is a subgenre ofalternative rockthat emerged during the mid-1980s in the American state ofWashington, particularly in theSeattlearea.Clothing commonly worn by grunge musicians in Washington consisted of thrift storeitems and the typical outdoor clothing (most notablyflannelshirts) of the region, as well as a generally unkempt appearance. The style did not evolve out of a conscious attempt to create an appealing fashion; music journalistCharles R. Crosssaid, "[Nirvana frontman]Kurt Cobainwas just too lazy to shampoo," and Sub Pop's Jonathan Poneman said, "This [clothing] is cheap, it's durable, and it's kind of timeless. It also runs against the grain of the whole flashy aesthetic that existed in the 80s."

Punkis arock musicgenre that developed between 1974 and 1976 in theUnited States,United Kingdom, andAustralia. Rooted ingarage rockand other forms of what is now known asprotopunkmusic, punk rock bands eschewed perceived excesses of mainstream 1970s rock. Punk bands created fast, hard-edged music, typically with short songs, stripped-down instrumentation, and often political,anti-establishmentlyrics. Punk embraces aDIY ethic; many bands self-produced recordings and distributed them through informal channels.
The classic punk rock look among male American musicians harkens back to the T-shirt, motorcycle jacket, and jeans ensemble favored by American greasers of the 1950s associated with the rockabillyscene and by British rockers of the 1960s.

(Glam) Rock :
Rock musicis a genre ofpopular musicthat originated as "rock and roll" in theUnited States in the 1950s, and developed into a range of different styles in the 1960s and later, particularly in the United Kingdom and the United States.
Glam rock emerged out of the English psychedelic and art rock scenes of the late 1960s and can be seen as both an extension of and reaction against those trends.Musically diverse, varying between the simple rock and roll revivalism of figures like Alvin Stardust to the complex art rock of Roxy Music, and can be seen as much as a fashion as a musical sub-genre
