Just as I was reaching the point of no return and was ready to purchase a nondescript iPad case from an online superstore, I stumbled upon this blog post by Bagaholic Boy, a Singapore based blogger and MCM addict. One thing I know is that when a specialist bag blogger (and a good one at that) has something to say about a bag, or accessory, well you stop and listen. Which is what I did. I stopped. And I listened. Or more accurately I stopped and I read.
Here is what BB has to say about it:
"Made of coated canvas and sporting a simple gold-tone hardware plaque, the MCM Heritage Cognac Visetos iPad Case opens up book style once it’s unzipped. On the inside you’ll find a slot for your iPad (or your iPad Mini) on the right, while on the left there’s a whole panel of slots, good for all manner of cards and papers."
I would most happily use this as a clutch during fashion week, holding my iPad on one side and all my invitations and notebooks on the other. Very practical AND stylish. You can't go wrong with a spot of monogram.
Now the best bit for those of you who are in Singapore comes later in BB's article... He shares a little secret - you can purchase MCM products from the Nuance Watson Duty Free store in Changi Airport's T2 even if you are not catching a flight... All you need to do is give them a call on +0065011455 to reserve your product and pay for it. You can then pick it up outside the departure terminal! It is a special service we offer at that boutique, and it is of course only applicable on the merchandise stocked there currently.
Nuance Watson is part of Swiss Group Nuance, the world's leading airport duty free retailer. Nuance Watson Asia won Travel Retailer of the Year and Airport Travel Retailer of the Year in 2012. They operate the MCM boutique located inside Terminal 2 of Singapore's Changi Airport - Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 2, Singapore 819643.
If, like me you aren't in Singapore, you can order the iPad case from Harrods' website - they deliver worldwide.
