MCM Harrods Grand Opening & Social Media Contest!

Saturday September 1st is an important date for MCM as it marks our official grand entry into the most magnificent and prestigious department store in the world. You know it, we opened in Harrods! I told you all about the actual MCM space in the Lower Ground Floor in a previous post and you've probably read about our weekend celebrations around London, so today I wanted to give you the inside scoop on the actual VIP Opening Ceremony. As you can see from the image above (and if you visited our concession since it opened), the boutique is very different from our stores around the world- we adopted a gold facade that is reminiscent of our cult brass plates! Our corner is on the Lower Ground Floor, next to the well-known Egyptian room, host to the world's fashion wonders...

On Saturday, we held a VIP Opening Ceremony and brunch in Harrods to which we invited our closest VIP friends. British Economist Tim Jackson, Musical Theatre Superstar Katherine Kingsley, Luxury Consultant Muriel Zingraff and British barrister Baroness Scotland cut the ribbon alongside our Chairperson & Chief Visionary Officer. They then had a little tour of our concession and went for a lovely lunch at the Georgian, Harrods chic restaurant. For starters they had The Dorstone goat' cheese salad with apples & walnuts followed by the Seared fillet of Black bream with grilled provencal vegetables for mains.

Also celebrating the opening of our latest boutique as well as and Harrods' "Love London" theme, Harrods are currently hosting a Social Media contest on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
