The First Lady - Art Lover

The First Lady knows what she wants and isn't afraid to get it. She is elegant, poised but she also knows when to relax and enjoy the finer things in life. Yesterday, we found out about her musical tastes... Today we observe her as she enjoys a trip to the museum.

Whenever the First Lady gets a break in her busy schedule, she makes a beeline for one of her favourite museums. Since she travels a lot, the museums that are dear to her heart become some sort of second homes where she goes to look at paintings and disconnect for a while. From Paris to London, London to New York and New York to Florence, she left a piece of her heart at The Louvre, the MOMA or the Uffizi.

Her tastes are very polarized: she loves classical pieces by Botticelli and Raphael and she often stares at Venus for long moments, mesmerised by the detail and beauty of the painting. Whenever she visits Paris, she goes to the Louvre, in Florence she visits the Uffizi and in London the National Gallery. There time stops and she dreams herself as a voluptuous goddess with long red hair.

Her second love is Pop Art and the colourful photography style of David La Chapelle. You see now why I described her tastes as "polarised"! The pops of colour in the paintings of Roy Lichtenstein and Andy Warhol give her the necessary bursts of energy to keep going. They are like little jolts of inspiration. She likes to visit Modern Art museums on her lunch break! Her favourites are Pompidou centre in Paris, MOMA in New York and the Tate Modern in London.
