Once upon a time, in Washington DC (1995), MCM gifted a royal blue handbag to Hilary Clinton: the Hilary bag in one of her favoured hues. Mrs Clinton loved the bag and so since then the series has been known as the ‘First Lady’ collection, now one of our classic lines. Each season, there is a variation on the timeless design. The First Lady comes in many, many colours and is now available in a beautiful croco version. I can't really be impartial about the First Lady Croco as it is one of the MCM bags in my collection.

At the beginning of the season, I got my hands on the medium one in orange, just before I flew to Stockholm for Fashion Week. It has been a faithful companion ever since, accompanying me to Paris and of course following me everywhere in London.
Last time my mum came to stay with me from Paris, she took one look in my wardrobe and decided I should give her my First Lady Croco! My mum is very discerning and stylish and she also loves her MCM bags! To honour this beautiful piece of craftsmanship, I thought today I'd focus on how we make the First Lady, a little insight into the labour of love behind the lovely bag.

Traduction - Le sac First Lady en crock est l'un de mes sacs favoris cette saison. J'ai la version orange. C'est aussi l'un de nos modeles classiques, reinterprete chaque saison.
