I love browsing Lookbook.Nu for new MCM fans, because it is also a good opportunity for me to discover new international style blogs I am not familiar with. This morning, my mission for MCM was to find all those of you carrying MCM on your Lookbook.Nu outfit pics... I saw many really cool outfits and super stylish people, but what struck me is that every other photo I clicked was of this one girl, "M.K." aka Michele K from the Swiss blog The Fashion Fraction. Her style obviously caught my eye and so I decided to write a little feature all about her! To illustrate it, I picked four images of Michele carrying her Tracey Visetos bag (she has the large one like me and also the clutch version). Let's have a look and a bit of a style analysis of Michele's wardrobe...
This is a look that wouldn't be out of place on a Hollywood starlet on her way to a coffee date with some friends. I love denim shorts in the Summer, they are the most comfortable and laid-back option. They also help keep her outfit really young and fresh. If she had been wearing a skirt with this shirt and heels, the whole thing would have been a bit stuffy looking. This is just perfect.
This is the ultimate Los Angeles look... in Switzerland. The 60s inspired dress and platforms transform Michele in a n extra from Valley of the Dolls and are the perfect canvas for her Tracey Visetos (which is oh-so-seventies in its design).
This is to show that you should never listen to style rules. Remember the ones that say "never mix pink and red or black and navy"? That's just nonsense. Pink and red is a great colour combination, especially when grounded by whites and neutrals.
I know many of you probably work in offices with rather strict dress-codes. It is hard to believe, but there are still many workplaces where you just can't wear anything you want. Suits are in fashion at the moment so it is a great time to invest in some fancy ones. I love a pop of colour and this head-to-toe red and white outfit is ravishing.
THE BAG STAR!
I told you earlier I also owned the Tracey Visetos... Well here is a photo of my bag! I am very happy to have found Michele on Lookbook.Nu as she gave me many styling ideas for it!
