I've been living in Munich for seven and a half years now. That's quite a long time! Craig & Karl are new in town, so I slipped into the role of your one-and-only tour guide to show you all of my favourite hotspots should you spend a luxurious day around our latest MCM Pop-up Studio, and get to know Munich. I grabbed my Beyond Snowdome highlights from the new collection (By the way: I love the whole collection, but my ultimate favorites are the pink sweater and the clutch bag!), to bring them to my favorite spots in Munich. Enjoy my very personal tour trough the Bavarian capital!
Fruits from all around the world, beautiful flowers, bavarian specialities and international delicacies: Whatever you are looking for, you'll find it at the Viktualienmarkt in the center of the city, just around the corner of Marienplatz. It's always worth a visit!
#2: Cotidiano at Gartnerplatz
I'm definitely a breakfast-junkie! One of my favorite places for having a delicious start into the day is the Cotidiano at Gartnerplatz. You can choose between tasty croissants and all sorts of small cakes, hearty dishes and several cereals. The special: Cotidiano is serving breakfast all day long. By the way: The Gartnerplatz is my favorite square in Munich! The address: Gartnerplatz 6
#3: White Rabbit's Room:
You want to travel to Alice’s wonderland? “White Rabbit’s Room” takes you to this fairytale place! The sugar-sweet Cafe is fascinating with its extravagant interior as well as with its tasty cakes and its lovingly detailed store. At the weekends they are serving delicious waffles, in summer Frozen yogurt. The address: Franziskanerstraße 19.
#4: English Garden:
Munich is very proud of it's English Garden. Rightly so, the park is a true oasis. Its mentioned in every travel guide. I have a little tip for you guys: When you enter the Garden at the Eisbach next to the notorious night club P1 (Prinzregentenstraße 1) you may be lucky enough to see some surfers. Believe me, I'm not kidding!
#5: Roof terrace of the "Bayerischer Hof":
Next time you're in Munich, take the elevator and go up to the seventh floor of the Bayerischer Hof. There you'll not only find the most beautiful roof terrace of Munich, but also the famous Blue Spa (book a treatment in advance, it's worth it!) and a bar where yummy cocktails are served. The address: Promenadeplatz 2-6
What about you? What's your favorite spot in MCM's hometown?
