Earlier this week, we showed our brand new SS14 collection in Seoul. Entitled "Flower Boys In Paradise", the kaleidoscopic catwalk presentation finds its inspiration in Arcadian utopias ruled by the androgynous and techno-futuristic. For the first time, we are presenting an "epicene" collection, reflecting on gender-normative tensions in design and style.
The collection seeks to explore the parameters of an a-sexual paradise which seamlessly mixed old and new, past and present. The past becomes an Eden and the future is an utopia. The silhouettes ignore gender polarities and interweave fantasy and reality. Florals and classic Visetos motifs rejuvenate the spirit of MCM in a new rite of Spring.
The "Flower Boys in Paradise" collection also unveils shapes and materials ranging from printed and embossed leathers to classic Visetos, all in carnival hues of paradise green, poppy red juxtaposed with dampened pastels and metallics.
In case you missed our show, I wanted to share with you the latest images from the collection. They are all hot off the press, having landed in my inbox no later than this morning.
